Craftsman-Style Bride’s Chest
Functionality and beauty combine in this classic piece of American fine furniture . Best of all, it’s every bit as practical as it is attractive.
You don’t have to be a new bride to appreciate the beauty and utility of this traditional chest. The Craftsman-style design is loosely based on a Gustav Stickley original from the early 1900s.
42 1/2″W x 22”H x 17 5/8″D
The stain can be customized to meet your needs and the trunk hardware can be modified as well.
This is an heirloom quality piece of furniture hand made from Quarter-Sawn White Oak in my shop in Punta Gorda Florida. Made from solid hardwood sustainably grown in the U.S.A.
The inside is lined with aromatic cedar, it can be built without the cedar lining if you prefer.
Hand crafted from boards that I pick out for beauty. Hand sanded and stained with our own mixture of stain and sealer to give a beautiful and durable finish.
The chest can be made from Red Oak Poplar or Cherry but is standard in the Quarter Sawn White Oak that is traditional to the craftsman style. .
I take great pride in producing furniture that will be passed on from one generation to the next.
As each piece is custom built please allow 4-6 weeks for shipping.
